2nd Heibok T-20 Cricket : CHAMP hold nerves to beat PTRC by 1 run, 19-run win for CRAU against FORCE

CHAMP, Khagempalli had a heart-stopping 1 run victory today as PTRC, Patsoi almost chased down their 112 run post in a Group D league match of the ongoing 2nd Heibok T-20 Cricket tournament organised by Langthabal Sporting Club under the aegis of Manipur Cricket Association at Langthabal Public Ground.
CRAU, Khamnam Bazar eased to a 19 run win against FORCE, Kshetrigao in a Group A league match played earlier.
In the first match between CRAU and FORCE, the former won the toss and elected to bat first.
CRAU's Rakesh shone with the bat scoring 45 run in 46 balls while Bimol (35) and Herachandra (21) made their names on the scoresheet to rack up 129 runs for 5 wickets down in 20 overs.
Pravez of FORCE claimed three wickets while Kasim picked up the other two wickets in the first innings.
In reply, Pravez hit 39 runs and Robertson gathered 28 runs but their efforts went in vain as the team were restricted to 110 runs for all wickets down in 20 overs.
CRAU's Rakesh picked up 2 wickets in this innings and walked away with the man of the match title while John also had two wickets in his name.
In the second match, CHAMP which won the toss piled up 112 runs in total for 9 wickets down before escaping the defeat narrowly.
Gulson top-scored with 28 runs in his name in this innings while Bonium and Kenedy added 21 and 18 runs respectively.
Pradeep led the bowling attack of PTRC and enjoyed a 3 wicket haul while Jotin, Sohail and Jemson claimed one wicket each.
In reply, PTRC almost made the target but the 9 wicket stand failed to overcame the late scare and had to finish the innings at 111 which was just 2 runs away from the win.
Nikol and Sourav contributed 30 runs each in the chase while CHAMP'S Kabir had 4 wickets in his name.
Aiden and Bonium dismissed one wicket each in this innings.
Kabir was then adjudged man of the match.
