MNCA Super Plate Tournament : KASC beat TCMDC by 4 wickets to escape relegation

KASC-Khomidok defeated TCMDC-Thongju by 4 wickets for the second win and to survive relegation in the crucial penultimate Group B encounter of the ongoing 3rd MNCA Super Plate Tournament 2023-24 at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
The result leave KSDO- Kyamgei at the bottom of the table with just three points from a win and a tie (from an abandoned match) in 6 matches and will be face relegation to Plate Group while KASC and TCMDC finished fifth and sixth respectively with 5 and 4 points.

Javed was the highlight of the match as he clinched four wickets to set up TCMDC collapse at 135 in 26 overs and added an unbeaten 24 runs in the chase to earn KASC the much needed win.
Priyobarta 33, Tondon 31, Suraj 19 and Tuljit 12 not out led the scoring for TCMDC after being put in to bat first.
The innings saw Farijuddin (4/22 in 8 overs) and Javed (4/28 in 8 overs) sharing a bulk of 8 wickets as Arif managed one (1/28 in 7 overs) .
In the chase, Ali Karim scored the highest 37 off 80 deliveries before Rajak 21, Sahir Khan 23 and Javed 24 played their parts to take KASC to winning 136 in 34.2 overs with 4 wickets left to spare.
Javed was eventually named man of the match.
Meanwhile, WYC-Wangkhem defeated FORCE-Kshetrigao by 3 wickets at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground to climb to Group A fourth position.
FORCE opted to bat first and ended up adding 164 runs for all wickets down in 28.3 overs and WYC chased down the target in 28.1 overs on the back of an unbeaten half century (48-ball 57) from Rajesh and a crucial 47-ball 34 from Borish.
For FORCE, Sarfaraz 31 and Nazir 38 were the main run getters before they were bundled out for 164 with Biteshwar 3/40, Rajesh 2/27 and Mangi 2/26 of WYC piling pressure on the batters.
Borish, Roshankumar and Laksmon also picked a wicket apiece in this innings.
Sushilkumar of FORCE claimed three wickets (3/35) and Arbin managed two (2/25) in WYC's innings.
