U-17 KI Women's League; ESU on roll as ICSA bounce back with 4-1 victory over AMMA

ESU, Wangkhei continued their fine form and earned their 5th win on the trot by overwhelming WFA, Kakching by 4-0 goals today at Mapal Kangjeibung in the U-17 Khelo India Women's League Football Tournament which is being organised by All Manipur Football Association.
The day also saw ICSA, Irengbam bounce back to thrash AMMA, Andro 4-1.In the first match of the day, ESU started on a positive note to earn a 2-0 lead against WFA in the first half before pumping in two more and completed the 4-0 rout of the Kakching team.
ESU were on the front-foot after 24 minutes with L Hingneilam finding the opener and Anjali Gurumayum carried forward the momentum and helped ESU enter into the break with a 2-0 lead with a clinical strike in the 36th minute.
WFA were kept under pressure after the break as well by dominant ESU and it was S Uma who grabbed ESU's third goal in the 46th minute before N Priyangka Devi banged in the final nail in the 54th minute.
The second match of the day was also of the similar fashion as ICSA eased to a 2-0 lead till the break before adding two in the second half which also saw AMMA pulled back a consolation goal.
O Babita earned ICSA the lead in the 23rd minute after AMMA held firm to guard their goalline for a while before I Gitarani doubled their advantage in the 31st minute of the match.
AMMA made a discipline return to the game after the break and pulled back a goal through Ch Geeta in the 53rd minute but their return proved shortlived as ICSA regained control and their two goal cushion with L Bijeiya scoring three minutes latter.
L Shelia then scored ICSA's fourth goal making it clearly impossible for the Andro side to comeback at the stroke of the hour mark.
With AMMA failing to cut the gap further, ICSA wrapped up the game 4-1 and successfully earned their fourth win.
