Manipur defeated Meghalaya by five wickets to wrest the title of the BCCI Affiliate and Associate Cricket Tournament 2013-14 that concluded today at Dhan-bad, Jharkhand.
Batting first in the 50-over match, the Meghalaya innings folded in the 37th over with only 120 runs on board as Suraj Nongmaithemba claim-ed five rival scalps and Sultan Khan two from their alloted overs.
Manipur consumed only 26 overs to reach 121 for five to comfortably seal the title win.
Abdulah top-scored for the champions with 65-ball 57 with Tejkumar 25 (69), Pri-yojit 15 (18) and Sadam 12 (17) being the other notable contributors.
Suraj was declared man of the match.
