State lad continues bid to enter Guinness Records

Imphal, March 15 2014 :
In a bid to cross the threshold of the Guinness World Records, Maibam Itomba today successfully pulled up his body on a bar as much as 16 times using his little fingers only in 30 seconds.
Guinness World Records attempter Itomba last time had succeeded in pulling a bar 20 times in 30.906 seconds.
Saturday's was his second display to the public.
The demonstration on his unique ability to pull bar with his pair of little fingers was held at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) complex, Takyel.

The spectacular show was witnessed by Khaidem Mani, advocate and president of Manipur Bar Association, M Goura, Assistant Revenue Commissioner, Govt of Manipur, N Binod, Technical Director, National Information Centre, Manipur, Kh Iboyaima, Member, Bar Council, Manipur and a host of jury members.
Itomba was born on January 1, 1988 at Uripok Naoremthong Shamushang in Imphal West district.
He is the last among six siblings born to Maibam Churamani Meetei and Maibam Ongbi Chandrashakhi Leima.
