Blockade called off

Imphal, August 23 2012:
Following an agreement between the Assam Government and agitating student and civil society organisations of Assam the indefinite economic blockade imposed in Golaghat district has been called off with effect from today afternoon.
Subsequent to ending of the agitation, Manipur-bound fuel tankers and trucks stranded at Numaligarh area have reportedly started their journey.
The blockade against Nagaland, called by six organisations of Assam, started on August 18 .
The blockade was called over a boundary dispute in Assam's Golaghat district.
