AMPWA hails State Govt

The All Manipur Muslims (Meitei Pangal) Welfare Association (AMPWA) conveyed its heartfelt gratitude to the State Government for conferring "Appreciation Award" to Dr Raheijuddin Sheikh, a press statement issued by AMPWA informed.
The 'Appreciation Award' was conferred to him during the State level Teachers' Day, 2014 celebration at Bengali High School.
Dr Raheijuddin Sheikh was conferred with the award by the Department of Higher &Technical Education, Government of Manipur, for his efforts in the establishment of the first two community colleges in the State, namely Dhanamanjuri Community College at Imphal and Churachandpur Community College in Churachandpur.
Dr Raheijuddin Sheikh is presently the Secretary (Academic & Social Affairs) of AMPWA.
Also, AMPWA urged the State Government and all the concerned authorities to resolve the issue of Ukhrul at the earliest to restore peace and normalcy in the State.
It further requested Medical Directorate, Government of Manipur, to allocate the exact number of reserved seats for OBC (Meitei Pangal) in the admission to MBBS/BDS 2014 .
