Imphal, September 11 2014:
Ching-Tam Peace & Development Organization (CPDO) strongly condemned the two ambushes which were alledgedly carried out by the cadres of NSCN-IM along the Imphal-Ukhrul highway which claimed one life and left two others injured.
Interestingly, NSCN-IM is under a peace talk and in the state of ceasefire with the Indian Government, said a press release issued by the CPDO.
CPDO extended its heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members of the deceased IRB personnels Ks Thotyo and the two injured police personnel, Kh Amuthoi and Kapminliyan Mangson.
The statement further lamented that bloodshed due to infighting is a very shameful and foolish act.
common people who wanted to live together in peace and harmony have been left with a sad feeling of insecurity.
There are more than 36 communities in the entire State who have been living together with love and affection.
All indigenous communities must stand united against any foreign strategy designed to shatter the unity of Manipur.
It is high time to understand that bloodshed and confrontations would not benefit anyone but the outsiders, businessmen and others, CPDO added.
