Imphal, December 23 2014:
The Saviour, a rehabilitation centre, has urged the Department concerned to pay attention to the private rehabilitation centres in the State.
Speaking to mediapersons at its research centre, Thangjam Sanjoo said The Saviour which was established in 2012 has treated more than 1267 drug addicts including juveniles.
However, authority concerned has so far unfortunately failed to provide any assistance.
Sanjoo added if medicines supplied to rehabilitation centres run by the Manipur AIDS Control Society, MACS HIV/AIDS are distributed to other centres as well, many lives can be saved.
The Saviour had conducted a free detox camp from December 2 till December 16 where around 35 patients were treated under the assistance of 30 Assam Rifles under Heingang Constituency.
