The 39 Assam Rifles organised a medical camp at Lamlongei from october 17 till 20 in connection with the Ningol Chakkouba festival, said a PRO IGAR (S) release adding that the camp provided medical cover to people from various districts of Manipur who had come to participate in the Mega Mela organised by Diocesan Social Service Society, Imphal for showcasing organic crops.
A total of 196 patients were diagnosed and provided medicines, the release informed adding that efforts of the Assam Rifles were lauded by the people who also requested for more such medical camps in the future.
Meanwhile, 6 Assam Rifles provided sports items and water tank to Olive English School, Joupi on october 20 with the gesture evoking gratitude from the school authority as both the students and staff have been facing problems of hygienic drinking water facilities in the school.
