A meeting of the All Tribal Disable Union, Manipur has decided to impose24-hour chakka bandh which would be effective from midnight of October 25 in the hill districts of the state.
The meeting held on October 19 at Hotel Imphal was attended by the representatives of its branches in five hill districts, a statement of the ATDUM stated
today.
The body is demanding conduct DPC of the recruitment of primary teachers for the schools under Autonomous District Council with reservation of seats for the persons with disability.
While conducting the fresh recruitment, 30 days time for submission of application should be given from the date of notification, 20 year relaxation should be given apart from selecting only those candidates who know the local dialect, the statement signed by Momo Tangtanga demanded.
