MSU hails Francis

The Maram Students' Union expressed sincere gratitude to Francis Ngajokpa, Minister, RD/PR, Eco & Stats, Manipur, for his efforts to recognise the Maram dialect.
According to a statement issued by the MSU, the long aspiration of the Maram community has been achieved with the recognition of its dialect.
It has come at an opportune moment when the community is striving its possibility.
To further standardise the dialect, compiling of Maram Mother Tongue Dictionary is in the process with the involvement of eminent elders, intellectuals, students' bodies and Maram Union.
The Union hoped that the State Government would provide adequate facilities for teaching and other required materials, the Union added in the statement.
The students' body also congratulated Rang David of Sangkungmei village for successfully clearing the MCSCC exam 2014 conducted by the Manipur Public Service Commission.
