Imphal, August 24 2016:
A moderate 6.7 magnitude earthquake rocked the areas of North East India today.
The earthquake which triggered at 4.05 min (8.9 sec) pm (IST) was felt at 4.05 min(55.273 sec) pm at the Seismological Observatory of Manipur University, said a statement issued by Manipur University's Seismological Observatory Scientist Dr Manichandra Sanoujam.
The epicentre was located about 420-km south-south east of the observatory in Myanmar.
The depth of the earthquake is estimated to be about 85.7-km.
