Imphal, May 16:
"We will never rest until our genuine demand for 34.2 percent reservation and proportional representation in the teaching and non-teaching faculty is implemented", MUTSU has appealed to all tribal students of Manipur University to stay away from the upcoming MU election and its related activities.
MUTSU in a statement recalled that it had agreed with the VC and the Chief Minister to put 'on hold' any recruitment until the reservation policy is amended.
It also conveyed deep pain and anguish at the shooting of their colleague Thokchom Ranjit alias Angomcha of Chemistry Department by IRB personnel.
