Imphal, March 27 2018:
The Poumai Naga Union (PNU) has cautioned to take democratic forms of agitation following the failure on the part of the State Government to book the culprit involved in a road accident which led to the demise of one K Gideon of Koide Village.
A press release issued by president of PNU said that a MoU was signed between PNU, representing the victim's family, and SP, Senapati at Kabinam, Maram on March 8, under the aegis of Naga People's Organisation.
During the inking of the MoU, in order to nab the culprit, the union gave 20 days to the concerned authority, which expires tomorrow.
Following the negligence of the authority concerned to take up necessary measures, PNU will be compelled to launch stringent agitations, it stated while adding that the State Govt will bear all the responsibility of any unwanted incidents.
