The underground Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) has today elucidated the call attention motion moved by MLA Dr Ng Bijoy alleging the KRA of hijacking a truck loaded with medicines worth over Rs 70 lakh at a place between Senapati and Kangpokpi on National Highway 39 two months back in connection with a monetary demand served by the outfit.
Talking to reporters today at the outfit's headquarters, information and publicity secretary of KRA, T Simte said that it is very unfortunate that the motion was moved by the MLA without any evidence.
Terming the allegation as baseless, he also said that it was an attempt to invite tension in the state.
T Simte said that the KRA is one of the signatory armed groups of the Suspension of Operation and the outfit did not collect taxes.
He also clarified that there is no KRA cadre in between Kangpokpi and Senapati.
He also asked how far the allegation is true.

He further pointed out the presence of gang groups along National Highways 39 and 53 who collect money in the names of underground organisations.
