MLAs of the state Assembly in the opposition bench is carried to any direction chief minister, O Ibobi wanted when they remained silent when he said "no other way but killing people", women bodies taking part in a press conference organized by the women venders of Khwairamband Keithel strongly charged.
Speaking at the press conference, Shakhi of Apunba Manipur Kanba Nupi Lup observed the members of the Manipur Legislative Assembly who remained silent when chief minister said government has nothing to do except killing people during the discussion on the shooting incident at Khwai Bazar yesterday has showed that Ibobi can carry the MLAs in the direction whatever he wanted.
Where the strength of being opposition in the house had gone? Today, women venders of the Khwairamband Market are protesting against the indiscriminate firing of the state security forces.
Is government going to kill another person to divert the protest of the women venders, she went on asking.
The act which was performed by the Central security forces is now replacing by the state police commandos.
Brothers are killing each other.
Are not the commandos sons of the soil, why Ibobi celebrated the killing, she further asked.
Publicity secretary of the Ema Keithel Semkat Sagat Lup, Kh Mangi said whatever may security forces or underground elements, firing guns in the crowded area is not justifiable one.
Yesterday's act amount to kill all the womenfolk in the market area, she added.
The present spree of unrestrained killing by the security forces has showed that Ibobi led government could not enforced the rule of law in the state.
Now time has come, Ibobi resigned from chief ministership.
Expressing suspicion on the dead of the young housewife Robina, Mangi said, who had killed her could be easily known if thoroughly examine the bullet that hit her.
General secretary, L Mema of Manipur Keithel Nupi Marup said the statement of the chief minister, O Ibobi in the floor of the house was not of his personal statement but as a chief functionary of ruling government.
The statement was an unfortunate thing for the people of the state.
But the more unhappiness was that of opposition MLAs who remained silent.
The attitude of the opposition members has left a question mark, whether their mouths have been shut with money by the chief minister, she asked.
Ibeni who also took part in the press conference insisted that government should throw away the ideology of killing people, if the spree of unrestrained killing of people in the state could not be checked all the MLAs of the Assembly should tender resignation.
