Langol Langlungbung Leikol opens

Chandel, September 09 2017:
The Langol Langlungbung Leikol, which is located in Langol village in Machi sub-division of Chandel district, has been declared officially open after an inauguration event attended by MLAs A Govindas Konthoujam and D Korunthang today .
The garden is located in one of the oldest Maring villages that is flooded with elements of historical importance.
The construction of this garden with four entry points had begun in 2013 .
In the past, the Meiteis used to call the area as Kaadangsing, where it is believed that Khamba would come to get flowers for Thoibi.
During the World War II, the Allied Force had put up camp here.
Set in one of the tallest peaks in the State, the garden is finished with a tree-level water tower .
A cafeteria is tucked in one corner of the garden for the guests’ pleasure.
Besides the variety of plants and flowers it has to offer, the garden also provides amazing views of natural beauty and a pleasant ambience.
Its green pond completes the delight that the Langol Langlungbung Leikol has to offer its visitors.
