Suu Kyi's statue unveiled

Moreh, August 08, 2012:
A statue of Aung San Suu Kyi was unveiled at Moreh Ward No 4 today.
Later, Solidarity Committee for Burma Democracy, Manipur organised a public meeting in connection with the 24th anniversary of Burma.
The speakers of the function expressed possible benefits which may get by Manipur and border town Moreh if the neighbouring country fully adopts democracy.
The speakers also highlighted the works of Aung San Suu Kyi towards bringing democracy in Myanmar.
The speakers also expressed hope that Suu Kyi's NLD party would win 82 per cent of the total seats in the election to be held in 2015.
