Imphal, August 07 2016 :
The expert team from the Regional Malaria Research Centre, Dibrugarh sent to the State by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has started studying the species of mosquito since yesterday which are transmitting Japanese Encephalitis (JE) in the State.
The team went to Sagoltongba yesterday and conducted a field study there, informed an official source.
The team would go to Churachandpur tomorrow.
Apart from JE, the team would also study Malaria and Dengue.
Notably, out of 33 confirmed cases of JE, four people have succumbed to the disease till date.
