Imphal, August 07 2016 :
Students of Yairipok Government Aided
High School who have been on hunger strike to protest the
construction of power sub-station inside the school premises were
today pulled by police.
Due to deteriorating condition, two students were admitted
to JNIMS for necessary medical treatment.
With CrPC 144 still in force in the area, police cleared the
hunger strikers out of the school gate.
Irate students then
dismantled furniture of the Headmaster's office.
Unless the authority concerned withdraws the construction
of power-sub station, the agitation will continue, the students
said.
