KCP (MC) leader Lanheiba re-arrested

Leader of one KCP-MC faction, Lanheiba Meitei apprehended by Assam Police from Guwahati has been re-arrested in connection with the abortive car bomb attack at Raj Bhavan.
Lanheiba Meitei was arrested by Imphal police station consecutively for his involvement in multiple cases like abduction cases of two Airtel staff and Ragailong bomb blast of October 21, 2008 .
He was re-arrested today his masterminding the act of planting a car bomb inside Raj Bhavan on September 18, 2009 .
Lanheiba, who was being detained till today on the charge of triggering the Ragailong bomb blast, was produced at the Court of CJM Imphal West.
With due permission of the Court, police re-arrested Lanheiba for his involvement in planting a car bomb inside Raj Bhavan and sought remand for eight days which was granted by the Court.
35 year old Lanheiba Meitei is also known by the names of Khwairakpam Brojen alias Khelen.
He hailed from Keirenphabi Mayai Leikai in Bishnupur district.
After his arrest from Guwahati on June 28, Lanheiba was brought to Imphal on July 3 .
