Follow up action on arrest of KCP leader Delhi cops quiz former JNIMS Director, scribe

Acting on a revelation made by arrested KCP (Poirei Meitei) commander-in-chief Khoirom Ranjit, a special cell of Delhi Police summoned a former JNIMS Director and a journalist to Porompat police station today.
The former Director and the journalist appeared before the special cell and gave their statements this morning.
Notably, Khoirom Ranjit is presently lodged at Porompat police station.
Sources informed that the former JNIMS Director and the journalist were summoned by Delhi police special cell as a part of their investigation into the arrest of Khoirom Ranjit.
The special cell has also summoned some other individuals and they are likely to give their statements tomorrow.
Following the arrest of Khoirom Ranjit by Delhi police along with one woman cadre on January 12 from Mayur Vihar area of Delhi, State police arrested one P Ibomcha who was said to be a close aide of Ranjit.
Kh Ranjit and the woman cadre identified as Ingudam Sanatombi were produced before a Delhi Court on the day of their arrest.
While Ranjit was remanded to police custody till January 19, Sanatombi was remanded to judicial custody till January 26 .
In the course of their investigation, Delhi police brought Ranjit to Imphal on January 13 and he is likely to be taken back to Delhi on January 17 as he has to appear before a Court there.
When P Ibomcha was arrested by the State police, one 9 mm pistol and two hand grenades were recovered from his possession.
