The number of job seekers in Manipur has reached 4,52,503 till July end this year.
But there was no notification of any vacancy, submission, placement, renewal or employees using by any of the Employment Exchanges during the said month.
Of the total job seekers, 40,613 including 10478 female are in Imphal East District, 175059 including 124098 female are in Imphal West, 69,550 including 14144 female are in Thoubal, 45304 including 11873 female are in Bishnupur and 42075 including 9048 female job seekers are in Churachandpur district.
Whereas, the total number of job seekers in Ukhrul district are 17899 inclusive of 4749 female, 30631 inclusive of 23782 female in Senapati, 14724 inclusive of 4043 female in Chandel and 12900 inclusive of 10235 female in Tamenglong district.
During the same period, the Special Employment Cell for the Physically Handicapped persons recorded a total number of 1793 job seekers including 568 female in its live register and UEI and GB, Canchipur recorded 1959 job seekers which include 949 female.
The total number of persons who registered their names in various employment exchanges during July month is 1203.This includes 421 female.
Computer unit: The computer unit of Paree Imom Sindam Sang, Langjing has inaugurated its computer unit today.
S Madhusudon of Science and Technology and Joint Director of Education (S) M Bimolchand and N Subol attended the function as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Meritorious prizes to those students of the schools who secured highest marks in the HSLC examination, 2004 were also presented at the occasion.

MU admission: Manipur University has announced admission to Mater degrees courses in Commerce, Earth Sciences, Economics, History, Manipuri, Mathematics, Philosophy and Mathematics for the session 2003-04.Application forms and other related details may be had from the office of the University cash counter, according to a notification.
Scholarship: Applications are being invited from students belonging to Christian and Muslim community for giving scholar under Maulana Azad National Scholarship Scheme of Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment for the period 2004-05.All concerned may obtain detail information about the scheme and other related matters from the office of the State Directorate of MOBC.
