Imphal, April 19 2009:
Unidentified miscreants hijacked and later burnt a Tata Sumo (MN04A/ 1343) at near Kakching this afternoon.
According to police sources, the vehicle was reportedly heading to Moreh from Imphal with passengers on board and is suspected to have been hijacked from Kakching Lamkhai (junction) .
The passenger carrier was set ablaze in a paddy field located along the Uya road in Kakching Naoripat, which is located about 4 kms south-east of kakching police station, at around 12.30 pm.
