Specialised course imparted to scribes

The felicitation programme for the "Shija Media Fellowship on Medical Journalism" was held today at the auditorium of Shija Hospitals, wherein four young journalists were feted for completing the two months course.
The journalists who underwent the course are, Ng Liklaileima of The Sangai Express, Irom Ashalata of Poknapham, T Biswajit of Naharolgee Thoudang, and S Inaomacha of Huieyen Lanpao.

Attended by AMWJU president S Hemanta as the chief guest, ANE of AIR BB Sharma as the guest of honour and presided by the Managing Director of SHRI, Dr Kh Palin, the felicitation programme stressed on the importance of imparting specialisation course to the journalists.
Addressing the gathering Dr Palin said that the idea of the fellowship was to encourage enthusiasm amongst the journalists of the State to develop an interest in medical science so that medical journalism can serve the people better.
On a very positive note, Dr Palin shared Shija Hospitals vision for the future and stressed on the strategic location of Manipur to become a pioneering State in health care for all.
Chief Guest at the function, S Hemanta said that the felicitation programme as well as the fellowship is a historic event in Manipur.
He expressed hope that the fellowship programme will go a long way in helping the journalists to become acquainted with medical science.
Addressing the function, BB Sharma of AIR said that such programme will help in promoting a synergistic situation wherein the medical fraternity can get the factual reporting on medical sciences and the media will get to know the something about medical science.
The four fellows were given the due certificates for their participation in the course.
