Vaccination of TT drivers begins

Imphal, May 14 2021:
As reported earlier, COVID-19 vaccination of POL and LPG Tanker Trucks (TT) crews began today.
Meanwhile, four associations of POL and LPG transporters have hailed Chief Minister N Biren and CAF&PD Minister Th Satyabrata for the decision to treat TT crews as frontline warriors.
Talking to The Sangai Express, key functionaries of All Manipur IOCL Retail Outlet Dealers Association, All Manipur Petroleum Products Transporters Association, All Manipur Bulk LPG Transporters Association and All Manipur Petroleum Product Drivers Association said that they were grateful to the Chief Minister and the CAF&PD Minister for their prompt action in vaccinating around 200 TT crews, LPG home delivery drivers, staff, IOCL officials and RO customer attendants.
They also lauded the Government decision of recognising TT crews as frontline warriors.
Informing that the vaccination drive would continue tomorrow too at RD Wing, Lamphelpat, the functionaries urged the Government to take up all other necessary measures promptly.
Satisfied with the Government's prompt action, POL and LPG TTs left Imphal for shipping fuel today.
Notably, movement of POL and LPG TTs was suspended after their convoy escorted by CRPF was attacked by some unidentified persons near Damdei College, Kanglatongbi on Wednesday which inflicted substantial damages to a Tanker Truck.
