"Only Govt's consent awaited for ICFAI "

For opening Institute of Chartered Financial Analyst of India (ICFAI) University in Manipur which has been already opened in other States of India, all necessary procedures have been completed except that it is awaiting consent of the Government of Manipur, ICFAI University Tripura Dean Sunil Shah said.
Speaking to some media persons at Hotel Classic here today, Sunil Shah said that ICFAI University Tripura has been approved under Section 2 (f) of the UGC Act 1956 .
It is also a member of the Association of Commonwealth University UK, Association of India Universities, New Delhi and the Federation of Universities, India.
The university offers diverse programmes such as B Tech (4 years), Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering as well as BSc, BBA, BCA, BHTM, LLB, BEd, MBA, MTech, MA etc in addition to Doctoral programmes.
There is neither donation nor quota system admission in the university.
Though admissions are done on merit basis, there is certain concession in the admission fee for students of North Eastern States, Sunil Shah said.
According to a survey conducted by Career 360 last year, the university's Faculty of Science and Technology was graded 'AA' .
The Dean went on to claim that many students who passed out from the university have found placements in reputed companies of the country and other sectors since its establishment in Tripura in 2004. Many other students have also found jobs within the university itself, he added.
