8 Projects lined up for PM to inaugurate

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate 8 projects apart from laying the foundations for 4 projects as well, during his visit to Manipur on January 4 .
In line with the scheduled visit, the State Government has instructed all Government employees to be present at Hapta Kangjeibung at 12.15 pm of January 4 and to be seated 30 minutes before the arrival of the Prime Minister.
According to a reliable source, the PM will take part in a mass public meeting at Hapta Kangjeibung before inaugurating/laying the foundation stones for the said projects.
The PM will reach Imphal International Airport at 11.45 am of January 4 on a special flight.
He will then travel to Kangla by helicopter and then go to Hapta Kangjeibung from Kangla by road.
On the other hand, the source mentioned that various works are underway at Hapta Kangjeibung in light of the PM's pending visit to the State.
Integrated Checkpost at Moreh, Dolaithabi Barrage Project, FCI Godown (Sawombung) Buffer Water Reservoir (Sirui village), Water Supply Scheme Churachandpur Zone III, Eco-Tourism Complex (Thangal cave), Integrated Tourist Destination (Tupul) and Water Supply Scheme, JNV Lambui, will be inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi during his trip.
He will also lay the foundation stone for Dhanamanjuri University Infrastructure Development, Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium Flood Lighting and Main Stadium flood lighting as well as Astro Turf at Langjing Achouba.
The source added that the PM will depart Imphal for Silchar at 1.30 pm.
The Chief Minister also inspected the preparations going on at Hapta Kangjeibung.
Speaking to media persons, N Biren Singh said that the projects which would be inaugurated by Narendra Modi may include Integrated Check Post (ICP), Moreh and Dolaithabi Barrage Project.
Saying that the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stones for various other new projects during his visit, N Biren Singh urged the public to turn up in huge number to welcome the Prime Minister.
Responding to a query regarding the total shut down called by armed outfits in connection with the PM's visit to the State, the Chief Minister said that adequate security measures have been taken up to thwart any unwanted incident.
Stating that the Prime Minister would reach Hapta Kangjeibung at around 12 pm, the Chief Minister urged the public to reach the venue before 11.Tourism Corporation of Manipur Ltd, Chairman Dr Sapam Ranjan, Khurai AC MLA L Susindro, Advisor to Chief Minister Rajat Sethi and other high ranking officials of the State Government accompanied the Chief Minister.
