MPP reaches out to Jessami victim

Imphal, April 20 2012:
The Manipur Peoples' Party (MPP) has extended financial assistance to the injured VDF personnel of Jessami who was assaulted by villagers of Melourie village of Nagaland over boundary dispute.
A team of MPP members led by its President in-charge, S Umananda today handed the aid to Nizovi Wejah at Shija Hospital where he has been hospitalised.
S Umananda conveyed his party's strong condemnation over the incident abduction of Jessami villagers by Melourie villagers of Nagaland.
He said that it is very unfortunate that the Nagaland Government has a stake on the issue.

He demanded that the Government of Manipur should do something to stop the unending disturbances caused by neighbouring villages of Nagaland to Jessami villagers.
Umananda further drawn the attention of the State Government in providing adequate State forces to protect the boundary as well as Jessami villagers.
