Cleanliness drive widely observed across the state

As done in other parts of the country, cleanliness drive was widely organized at various places of Tamenglong District today on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
National cleanliness was observed at district hospital Tamenglong under the theme "Swacch Bharat Abhiyan".
The doctors, nurses and staffs clean all the surrounding of the medical land including garbage, public toilets of district hospital, SDO Tamenglong quarter, etc.
Chief Medical Officer, Tamenglong Dr.Chambo Gonmei informed Hueiyen Lanpao that all the PHCs and PHSCs will be leaning today.
The national sanitation campaign will continue till 23rd October 2014 and clean up the whole district HQs.
All the institutions of Tamenglong also organised and clean up their surrounding schools.
Chingkhiuluang, Tamenglong ward No V village authority also organized social work in their wards and clean up the Tamenglong bazaar area.
Cleanliness Oath (Pledge) "Swachh Sapat" in connection with the Swachh Mission was administered today by Lakshmikanta Sharma, Addl.
Deputy Commissioner Tamenglong in the mini Secretariat Complex Tamenglong.
The pledging programme was attended by large number of Mini Secretariat staffs, officers, general public and students under the aegis of District Water and Sanitation Committee/ PHED Tamenglong.
National cleanliness drive was also carried at Longmai (Noney) bazaar Tamenglong district under the "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan" today.
The cleanliness was jointly organised by BJP Nungba Mandal and BJP Noney Circle Committee including BJP Nungba mandal President Adin Golmei along with active member 200 participated in the cleanliness drive at Noney local source said.
.LPoucharei Rongmei, Executive Engineer (PHED) Tamenglong also informs Huieyen lanpao that the national sanitation campaign has started in the district since 25 September 2014 and will continued till 23 October 2014 .
During this month long campaign, rallies, observation of World hands washing and street ply, organsing district level painting and other activities will be continue, he added.

National Cleanliness Day was observed in Chandel district head quarters today with social service conducted at the campus of Mini Secretariat, DC complex, Japhou bazar areas, Autonomous District Council office at Monsang Pantha, Chandel District Hospital premises, Zonal Education Office and several other line departments in the district.
MLA of 41 Chandel A/C St Nunghlung Victor, Deputy Commissioner of Chandel Robert Singh Kshetrimayum and Special Contractor Hl Lovingson took out inspection to some of the places including ADC Chandel complex at Monsang Pantha, District Sports complex Chandel christian and District Hospital Chandel.
The MLA and DC interacted with the staff members who were cleaning the ADC complex.
They also visited ongoing building construction at the complex to see the progress of the work.
At district sports complex chandel Christian, the MLA was seen furious with the poor quality sand used for constructing the slab of the drainage.
He shouted at the head mistry and ordered for replacement of the slab which was of poor quality.
The MLA then along with the DC visited the district hospital and found the staffs of the medical department and the hospital authority who were assisted by the Manipur Rifles of 8th MR and police assisting them in cleaning of the compound.
After visiting the sick in the ward proceeded to wards the construction work.
There the MLA expressed doubt if the construction would be completed before christmas.
Later while briefing media, MLA informed the contractor concerned to contact him or the DC who will tied up with the concerned department or the villagers to ensure quality and timely completion.
As part of the programme, employees of various line departments led by Chandel DC and the MLA undertook the 'Swacch Pledge' under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Swacch Karyalay Abhiyan.
