UNC advised

Imphal, March 16 2015:
Reacting to the United Naga Council's claim that peace and stability in Manipur entirely depend on their whim, Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam remarked that the particular statement sounds disdainful to all communities of the State.
He went on to warn the UNC saying that acting like an unbridled horse would not bring anything positive.
Taking strong exception to the UNC's claim that peace and stability of Manipur lie on their finger tips, MLA L Ibomcha raised a call attention motion in the State Assembly today.
Responding to the call attention motion, Gaikhangam remarked that it was unbecoming of a civil organisation like the UNC to make such irresponsible statement which has the potential to ignite conflicts between different communities.
He then appealed to all civil organisations not to make such irresponsible and haughty statements.
It appears that the UNC's statement has exposed their hidden agenda.
It appears that bandhs and blockades were imposed on highways for several days and months deliberately with a malicious intention to strangulate the masses.
Gaikhangam further appealed to all civil organisations to share due responsibilities in maintaining communal harmony and peace in the State.
L Ibomcha said that the UNC's assertion was hard to bear as it has no civility but full of arrogance apart from projecting themselves as functioning above the Government.
Ibomcha urged the Government to initiate due procedures to declare the UNC as an unlawful organisation.
Necessary actions should be initiated to register cases against UNC office bearers.
They should be taught a befitting lesson, Ibomcha added.
