Tea stalls for quake relief

The
Workers' Union, Manipur
(WUM) said it will set up tea
stalls in and around Khwai-
ramband market to raise money
for the quake hit people of the
State.
The union members also
pledge to donate half of their
monthly salary for quake
victims.
130 members of WUM
have pledged to donate half
of their monthly pay for
quake victims while 40 others
will set up tea stalls from 1
pm tomorrow in and around
Khwairamband market to
raise money for donation.
The
collected money will then be
added to the Chief Minister's
Relief Fund, WUM president
K London said in a press
meet today.
The 40 members team will start off from footpath in front of
Gambhir Singh Shopping Arcade selling tea at the cost of Rs 5 per
cup.
In addition, WUM, in association with JNIMS hospital authority
will also hold a blood donation camp at JNIMS to aid the
quake victims.
