Peace talks between the Centre and the NSCN (IM) is scheduled to resume towards the end of this month and for the first time the Government is likely to be represented by a ministerial team.
"Talks are scheduled for later this month or early next month," senior NSCN (IM) leader and outfit emissary VS Atem told PTI over phone from Nagaland.
He said during the talks, NSCN (IM) will take up with the Government, to be represented by a group of ministers, its memorandum submitted earlier for a peaceful solution to the decades-old Naga problem.
When asked whether they would be talking to Ministers of UPA Government, he said "Most likely nothing has been conveyed to us as yet".
While NSCN (IM) will be represented by Isak Chishi Swu and T Muivah, the Government side is likely to include Ministers of State Oscar Fernandes, Prithviraj Chauhan and S Reghupaty.
The Naga team will also be assisted by Home Minister of Nagaland R Rai Singh and Atem.
The UPA Govt has in its CMP committed itself to holding talks with Naga outfits.
Asked about the visit of NSCN (IM) leaders Isak and Muivah to Nagaland, Atem said, "It is a successful trip.
