ADC Sadar Hills helps fire victims, finds many staff absent at T Vaichong PHC

A team of Autonomous District Council Sadar Hills Councillor visited the fire victims of Tujang Vaichong at Tujang Vaichong Sub Divisional Headquarters with various relief materials to help them brave the unfortunate mishap.
A major fire incident that broke out on December 4 morning at T Vaichong, the Sub Divisional Headquarters of T Vaichong Sub Division in Kangpokpi cindered five residential houses to ashes and engulfed property worth over Rs 60 lakh.
Around fourteen students of Tujang Vaichong High School from various places were also staying in one of the houses on rent and their belongings including books, notebooks, clothes etc were completely burnt down by the inferno.
The team provided two bags of rice and one blanket each to the fire victims.
Motivating the fire victims, ADC Sadar Hills Chairman, Haokholal Hangshing said that life is much more important than earthly properties and encouraged them to brave the hardship and grievances caused by the fire tragedy.
ADC Sadar Hills Vice Chairman, Thangjakam Misao while encouraging the victims said that they visited the fire victims to let them know that they are not alone at the time of despair.
ADC Sadar Hills Chairman, Haokholal Hangshing handed over the relief materials to each of the victims in the presence of his colleagues and the chief of Tujang Vaichong, Lhunkhohen Kipgen.
He also handed over one bag of Dal provided by Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen for the fire victims.
Meanwhile, ADC Sadar Hills team also paid a surprise visit to the Primary Health Centre of Tujang Vaichong Sub Divisional Headquarters and found many staff not attending their duties.
All the three doctors posted at the health centre were found to be absent while only one nurse of four along with one facilitator attended the duty.
The ADC Sadar Hills Chairman was seen visibly disappointed over the negligence of the doctors and staff of PHC Tujang Vaichong Sub Divisional Headquarters, considering the vital role which they should have played among the people of the Sub Divisional Headquarters and its adjoining areas especially to the fire victims at this moment.
Highlighting the huge responsibilities and duties of the health workers, ADC Sadar Hills Chairman asked them to be sincere and dedicated in their duties.
He also urged the people of Tujang Vaichong Sub Divisional Headquarters and its surrounding areas to look after the health centre properly.
The visiting team was also accompanied by leaders of BJP Saitu Mandal and BJP Kangpokpi Mandal while the Councillors include Thangjakam Misao, Vice Chairman ADC Sadar Hills, Lamkholen Kipgen, Executive Member and MDCs such as Lunthang Haokip, Member, Thangkam Lupheng, Spokesperson, Dinglar Chiru, Sagar Gewali, Seilen Lhoujem and others.
