Man allegedly beaten to death

Bishnupur, September 11 2020:
A 56-year-old man was allegedly beaten by three persons leading to his death at a farm house at Bishnupur district today, reports our correspondent.
The man identified as Moirangthem Nillamani Singh of Bishnupur Municipal Council Ward No 3 Maning Leikai was found dead early morning today at his farm house on the bank of Thongjaorok river.
He was allegedly beaten by two brothers and their father, identified as Namoijam Sunder (40), N Romesh (36) and N Tomba (64) yesterday night at around 9, according to a woman who allegedly witnessed the incident, said sources.
After getting news of the incident, the deceased's son namely Moirangthem Naoton rushed to his father and he saw bruises on his father's body.
He left his father in the company of his brother's son, an eight year old boy.
The two, grandfather (deceased) and grandson (the boy) spent the night at the farmhouse.
When Naoton returned early morning to check on his father at the farmhouse, he found him lying dead face down on the floor, said sources.
Additional SP LO Luikham Lanmeo, OC Nambol Police Station Subash visited the incident site and forensic team have investigated the scene.
The body of the deceased has been taken to RIMS for postmortem.
On the other hand, the three persons (two brothers and the father) have surrendered at Nambol Police Station, said sources.
Meanwhile, in connection with the incident, Chakar Road Educational and Sporting Association (CRESA), president Sanasam Ibohal, said that as per an early resolution of the locals, all involved in the alleged murder will be ostracised.
A JAC will be formed to get early justice, he said appealing police to crack the case at the earliest.
SP Bishnupur and local MLA Govindas Konthoujam attended a meeting about the incident at Maning Leikai Community hall.
