MSCW asks people to avoid uploading details of deceased minor

Demanding stringent punishment for people found guilty in the September 2 incident of Mayang Imphal and enactment of "Anti Rape Law" in the State, a sit-in protest was staged today at Khelakhong Khongjin.
The protesters also took out a rally condemning the incident.
It may be mentioned that one minor girl who was reported missing on September 1 was found dumped in an unconscious state at an area under Mayang Imphal Police Station the following day.
She died at RIMS ICU on September 3 .

The protest demonstration was jointly organised by SAMAJ Manipur, Jamiat Ulama Majlisul, All Manipur Muslim Students' Organization (AMMSO) and the locals of Khelakhong Khongjin.
Speaking to media persons, advisor of SAMAJ Manipur cum convenor of United Development Committee, Wabagai Assembly Constituency, Md Riyajuddin Aribam urged the authorities concerned to investigate the case of Mayang Imphal incident in a free and fair manner to deliver justice to the victim's family.
He also urged all concerned not to politicise the issue.
In the meantime, the social worker assured to look after the brother of the deceased minor girl in his studies up to Class XII.
Secretary of SAMAJ, Md Islamuddin asserted that people involved in physically assaulting the minor girl should be punished according to the law of the land.
Saying that people of Manipur trust the assurance given by Chief Minister N Biren Singh of filing charge sheet against the suspects in less than two months, Md Islamuddin urged the State Government to enact Anti Rape Law to check crime against women, children.
Later, the protesters took out a rally up to the residence of the deceased girl and provided cash assistance to the bereaved family.
The protesters demanded justice for the girl and the ATM staff shot death at Churachandpur by 'looters' .
Meanwhile, a meeting was held today in the office chamber of the Chairperson, Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW), regarding the death of a minor girl who was allegedly physically assaulted at Mayang Imphal area.
A press release issued by MSCW Chairman, Prof Binota Meinam urged the State Government to book the perpetrators at the earliest.
The Chairperson also requested the State Government to take up necessary actions to eradicate the alarming rate of crimes against women in the State.
She also appealed to all social media users to refrain from uploading photographs and identity of the deceased girl.
All Manipur Muslim Organisations Co-ordinating Committee (AMMOCOC), Yairipok Local Committee also staged a protest demonstration at Yairipok Tulihal.
At the demonstration, the committee urged the authorities concerned to award capital punishments to all people who are found guilty in assaulting the minor girl, who succumbed on September 3 last.
The suspects should also be charge-sheeted within 21 days, the committee demanded.
The Social Development Association (SDA), Lilong Uku, condemned the alleged sexual assault and murder of a minor girl from Mayang Imphal on September 1.In its press release, the association urged the authority to charge sheet the main accused, expedite the trial process, and convict them at the earliest.
SDA club members also visited the aggrieved family and donated daily requirements and assured them of help and support in the future.
Md Rajaouddin, gen secy of SDA Club, also condemned the now-viral audio clip on Facebook of one Mansur Alam from Kairang and sought punishment for such behaviour so that it may not be repeated in the future.
All Manipur Muslim Development Committee-Headquarters, Village Women Co-ordinating Committee, Sagolband Sangaithel Road, Social and Educational Welfare Organization (SEWO), Thoubal and the Sangaiyumpham Khunou Youth Development Organisation also condemned the incident and demanded justice for the alleged victim of a crime against women, children.
