Imphal, September 07 2020:
Claiming that RIMS authority suspended office bearers of the Non-Teaching Employees' Welfare Association (NTEWA), RIMS and JAC concerned without giving any prior information, NTWEA has demanded the authority concerned to drop the suspension at the earliest.
Speaking to media persons during a press meet held today at Tera, NTEWA secretary, Thiyam Babu said that RIMS authority is yet to give a positive response for the demand which seeks withdrawal of the decision to outsource 404 contract employees of RIMS.
Saying that suspending the president and secretary of NTEWA and JAC concerned without giving any prior information is rather unfortunate, Babu asserted that the protest will continue until the authority concerned give a positive response.
Convenor of the JAC against outsourcing of contract employees of RIMS, Kh Ashnikumar claimed that contract staff of RIMS are being harassed by the concerned Director.
Claiming that the Director is using the premier healthcare institution of the State as his property, Babu appealed to the State Government to look into the matter at the earliest.
