Taking serious note of the large number of incomplete works and projects in Tamenglong district down the years, the Peoples' Development Vigilance Forum , Tamenglong (PDVFT) has listed some works which have been left incomplete and urged the Chief Minister to entrust competent agencies to investigate the cases and award befitting punishments to the guilty according to law.
Claiming that most of the projects have been left incomplete due to corrupt practices, PDVFT said that such a malaise has only left the public suffering and stretched to the limits and noted some important works which have been stalled.
Urging the Government to scan all developmental projects sanctioned so far for Tamenglong and investigate all incomplete works or done in a haphazard manner, PDVFT said that the culprits who have bled the people dry must be pulled up and penalised accordingly.
PDVFT in a statement listed some works which have been left incomplete and drew the attention of the Government to do the needful in pulling up the corrupt elements.

The said Mini-Secretariat has been left in limbo for years, said PDVFT and added that it was inaugurated during the time of UPA II by the then Union Home Minister P Chidambaram.

Construction of Ring Road from Forest Gate-Tamenglong- Khunjao, Old Treasury Road, Carpentry Road, Model Village Road etc has not been taken up at all.
A sum of Rs 7.9 crore was sanctioned by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in 2012-2013 for Integrated Tourist Circuit Development for linking Barak water fall, Tharon cave, Zeilad lake and Buning meadow.
However due to failure to furnish utilisation certificate only Rs 78 lakh was released as 1st instalment and the project has remained in limbo since the last 8 years, alleged PDVFT.
District sports complex, Tamenglong town or bazar road, fake appointment orders are some of the other things which need thorough investigation, said PDVFT and urged the Chief Minister to hand over the case to a competent authority such as the Vigilance Commission or the State Vigilance Department and pull up the guilty.
