As a symbol of extending support to the tripartite talk for an alternative arrangement for the Nagas, which is scheduled to be held at New Delhi tomorrow, All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM) would observe 'solidarity hour' during the talks session due to begin from 12 noon.
Informing this in a statement, publicity wing of ANSAM also appeals to the Nagas and those who settle in Naga areas in Manipur to pray for Naga leaders and Government representatives participating in the talk, to remain in-door and restrain from all kinds of routine works for one hour starting from 12:00 noon.
Shops and office establishments have also been asked to down their shutters and vehicles & pedestrian to remain off the roads during this solidarity hour.
ANSAM said, "As the Tripartite Talk for an alternative arrangement enters the fourth round on 31st August 2012 in New Delhi we appreciate the sincerity and commitment of the Ministry of Home Affairs, GoI in taking forward the dialogue thus far." The demand of Nagas for a political administration outside the Govt of Manipur has been duly considered as democratic aspiration for which a tripartite talk was initiated.
So, ANSAM urged GoI to exercise its best wisdom in dealing with the pending issue basing on the fact that the case of the Nagas have been established, registered and considered by the Govt.
