Single digit spike of only 4 cases reported

Imphal, February 01 2021:
Manipur recorded a new low of only 4 persons testing positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
Even though the State has been witnessing low daily fresh infections for the last few weeks, this is the first time in months that the State has recorded a single digit spike.
The total number of Covid positive cases has reached 29,072 while the active cases has been reduced to 139 .
With no reported deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the death toll remains at 371 .
The total number of recovered cases has reached 28,562 and the recovery rate stands at 98.24 percent.
Meanwhile, the 4 new persons who tested positive for COVID-19 include 1 male and 3 females, all civilians.
They tested positive for coronavirus at testing facilities opened at CMC (1), Babina Diagnostics (1), Thoubal (1) and Escent Diagnostics (1) .
They hail from Imphal West (1), Imphal East (1), Thoubal (1) and Senapati (1), said Government COVID-19 Common Control Room.
On the other hand, a total of 9 persons have recovered from Covid.
While 7 of them recovered while under home isolation, the remaining two have been discharged from COVID-19 Care Centres opened at JNIMS and District Hospital Churachandpur, the Government report issued by Additional Director (Health), Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang said.
The cumulative number of Covid positive cases has reached 29,072 including 25,647 civilians and 3,425 Central security personnel.
The total number of recovered cases is 28,562 including 25,152 civilians and 3,410 Central security personnel.
The number of active cases has come down to 139 including 128 civilians and 11 Central security personnel.
