In a significant move, the State Government has set aside a sum of Rs 80 lakhs for rodent control and rehabilitation of families affected by bamboo flowering in the Agriculture Dept (Crop Husbandry) while another Rs 250 lakhs have been set aside for the same purpose in the Horticulture Department (Crop Husbandry) in the State Plan outlay for the next fiscal.
Another Rs 8 lakhs have been earmarked as State plan support for NEC projects under the same subject.
With the State Plan size fixed at Rs 1160 crores for the next fiscal, the sectoral allocation of the Plan outlay was finalised on Feb 9 and the Govt has taken a few significant decisions such as no additional liability by taking over new institutions, offices etc.
The State Govt has also laid down that while allocating Plan funds, all Depts should set aside a minimum of 30 pc of the allocated funds for payments/clearance of ongoing works approved in the previous Plan and work programme should be prepared for only the balanced funds.
All Depts have also been asked to clearly segregate the provisions for TSP, SCP and Others under the Revised Estimates 2005-06 as well as Budget Estimates, 2006-07.Departments have also been directed to submit the details of head of account wise distribution of funds in respect of their de-mand (s) to the Finance Dept latest by February 10.The State Govt has also laid down that while preparing BE/scheme wise allocation, adequate provisions shall be made for salaries, State component for EAPs, backlog State matching share towards CSS and current State Matching Share, clearance of committed liabilities on schemes, projects and support from State Plan for the NLCPR and NEC funded projects/schemes.
