Sentence hearing for two murder convicts on Dec 21

The Session Judge, Imphal East has fixed December 21 for sentence hearing against Kshetrimayum Biju and Toijam Thesus who were convicted for 'murdering' a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) of RIMS Pathology Department seven years ago.
The date was fixed after the Court provided a copy of the judgement order it passed on December 14 to the convicts, Ksh Biju of Thoubal Kshetri Leikai, currently staying at Irilbung Thongkhong and Toijam Thesus of Thambalkhong Sabal Leikai today.
Both the convicts were brought from Sajiwa Central Jail and produced before the Session Judge, Imphal East for sentence hearing today.
In the course of today's proceeding, the convicts submitted to the Court that they did not get a copy of the judgement order.
The Court after hearing the submission of the convicts directed the concerned authority to furnish a copy of the judgement order to the convicts and fixed December 21 for sentence hearing.
Mention may be made that after seven years long trial, the Court convicted Kshetrimayum Biju under sections 120 B (criminal conspiracy) 302 ( murder) and under section 376 ( rape) of IPC and convicted Toijam Thesuch under sections 120 B (criminal conspiracy) and 302 IPC (murder) on December 14 for murdering a Junior Research Fellow in March 2013 at Bashikhong Loumanbi Loukol.
The body of the deceased was found on March 5, 2013, two days after the victim went missing.
