Chandel, December 19 2020:
Chandel Police arrested four persons for allegedly circulating defamatory pamphlets and warning several organisations and individuals including Chief Minister N Biren Singh, said sources.
Circulation of the pamphlets by Kankhu Phetha Volunteers (KPV), a newly formed "unlawful organisation", in the form of notice cum warning was reported on November 30 and Chandel police had registered a case.
During the course of investigation, two accused persons namely Langhu Monahring Anal alias David and RT Kothingwar were arrested on December 12 .
And later, from their revelation, two other persons, LH Wolring and SP Kolome Anal were arrested on December 15, said the sources.
Police also seized a laptop from Wolring which was found containing incriminating articles/pamphlets inciting communal hatred between communities and defaming several individuals and organisations, including the Chief Minister.
Further investigation of the case is on.
More persons may be arrested in the case, added the sources.LH Wolring (68) hails from Lamtbung village, Chandel, Langhu Monahring Anal alias David (47) hails from Charongching village, Chakpikarong.
Kothingwar (27) and SP Kolome Anal (50) hail from Tampi village, Chakpikarong and Khumbung Khullen village, Chakpikarong respectively.
