Kohima, August 4 (PTI):
After a week of protest against the restriction of the ceasefire with the NSCN (IM) to Nagaland from August 1, Naga organizations today said they were awaiting the outcome of the fresh round of Amsterdam talks with Centres interlocutor K Padmanabhaiah.
We are waiting for the talks between Padmanabhaiah and the NSCN collective leadership.
We have read that Padmanabhaiah has left for Amsterdam again.
We hope the talks will be positive, Naga Hoho president M Vero said.
The apex council president said the people should not jump to any conclusion till a clear picture emerged.
He said a meeting of all NGOs would be organized on Monday to discuss the situation and draw up future programmes to restore peace and normalcy in Naga-inhabited areas.
Naga Peoples Movement for Human Rights secretary general N Krome said that the situation currently was confusing and he preferred to wait for the outcome of the fresh rounds of talks at the Dutch capital.
