MCPCR for jabbing all CPS scheme staffers

Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MCPCR) on Friday asked Directorate of Health Services, Manipur to make arrangement for COVID-19 vaccination of all staffers of various institutions under the Child Protection Services (CPS) Scheme.
In a press release, MCPCR stated that cases of infection in the COVID-19 second wave are increasing at an alarming rate in the state.
Children are reported to be infected and affected by the virus.
And the number of infection surges.
In most cases, the virus got transmitted from adults to children.
"In such a scenario, it is deemed necessary for all staff/ officials/ members /chairpersons of various institutions under Child Protection Services (CPS) Scheme, school bus/van drivers, parents/guardians, school authorities & staff (teaching and non-teaching staff) and any individuals who are working in close proximity with children to get vaccinated at the earliest," the order said.
"In light of the above matter, Directorate of Health Services, Manipur may kindly make provisions for providing COVID-19 vaccination," it added.
