TBCA hosts men's camp for LBC members at mission compound, Ukhrul

Three days spiritual awakening programme for the men's society of Lambung Baptist Church (LBC), Chandel was held at TBCA mission compound Alungtang, Ukhrul, reports our correspondent.
Speaking to our correspondent, Pastor LBC Nelson Sengul said that Ukhrul is an important historical place of the Christian community of Manipur and claimed that the first Church in Manipur was established at Ukhrul and the first baptism was held in Ukhrul town at Ngayira Awungtang.
Pastor Sengul also elaborated on the theme "Intimacy with God".
He said that the programme was held to give exposure of the church members in order to connect and strengthen relationship with all the same believers across the State.
The three days programme was held in sessions where problems and difficulties were exchanged and shared spreading the gospel to reach out to the other people in the state.
The LBC members expressed that they were impressed with the system and policies of TBCA governing the district.
It might be mentioned that Lambung Baptist Church is an affiliated unit church of Anal Naga Baptist Association (ANBA), Chandel.
Sengul further said that they have acquired immense knowledge from older church organization and is a well established organization.
According to pastor, LBC members have a privilege to visit first baptism pool, Phungyo Baptist Church, the oldest Church of Manipur and also trekked to the abode of Shirui lily.
They look forward for more exchange programme between TBCA and LBC in future.
Pastor Sengul also extended gratitude on behalf of the church members to the TBCA for arranging the biblical session through the resource persons Rev Dr Mathotmi Vasha and Rev Remember Rimai and for providing free accomodation, hospital and co-sponsoring the men's camp.
Over 34 members including seniors and others attended the three day camp at Ukhrul.
