Discussion on Bills for hiking salaries of court Judges, Manipur Entry Bill 2002 and Opposition sponsored Manipur Lokayukta and Up-lokayukta Bill 2002 will be the main agenda in the curtailed fourth session of Eight Manipur.
Legislative Assembly on December 30.Earlier, during the December 17 Cabinet meeting the winter session was fixed for two days which was subsequently curtailed at today's Assembly Business Committee Advisory Committee meeting.
The meeting, presided by Speaker TN Haokip, resolved to conduct the session for a day only due to lack of Government agendas, said an official source.
While State Cabinet can decide on commencement of House session, duration on the session is the sole responsibility of the the source added.
During the session, State Government will table bill for hiking salaries of Judge of Court and State Entry Bill 2002 for deliberation while from the Opposition front MLA O Joy Singh is likely to propose Manipur Lokayukta and Upa-lokayukta Bill 2002.The Lokayukta and Upa-lokayukta Bill were tabled during the last session of House and will be re-introduced as it lapsed due to lack of consent of the House members.
