Private companies engaged in construction of Jiri-Tupul railway have been suffering loss in terms of lakh of rupees due to the ongoing second phase of agitation launched by Tombing led ATSUM under Reckoning of Others (ROTO), banning all National projects in the State.
Representatives of the private companies engaged in the railway construction work apprised their loss to a team of journalists at the site in between Tupul and Awangkhul today.
D Venkateswarlu, Site in-charge of Hyderabad based UAN Max Infra Pvt Ltd, engaged in digging tunnel at Tupul said the company is at a loss of Rs 1 lakh per day since the workers stopped working since Nov 12 .
Besides, 117 labourers of the company and all machineries like dumper, boomer, compressor, genset etc have been remaining idle, he said.
