Monsang Pantha Youth & Cultural Club has clinched the Champion trophy of the 1st Houpu and Sennu Memorial Trophy.
Monsang Pantha Youth & Cultural Club defeated Cheengkhu Youth Club by 4-2 goals in a tie break after both team did not score goal in the given time of the final match.
The closing ceremony of the sports meet was held today at Khulmi Ground of Molnoi village in Chandel and was graced by MLA Singhat Assembly Constituency, Ginsaunhau Zou as Chief Guest, Chairman Project Development & Monitoring Committee Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee, M.Rameshwar Singh as the Guest of Honour and Letpao Haokip Special Contractor as the functional President respectively.
The sport meet was organised by United Football Club Molnoi Area and participated by 18 teams from different Youth Club of Chandel District.
While speaking as the Chief Guest, Ginsaunhau Zou MLA Singat, said that Unity is the foremost important quality which every society should have.
Even in the field of games and sports particularly football, unity play an important role to emerge as victory.
As we all know that football is a team work but if there is no unity among the team member victory could not be achieved.
So, we must unite in every aspect of life to achieve victory.
.MRameshwar Singh who is the Guest of honour of the closing ceremony of the sport meet said that there is no room for discrimination between caste, creed and religious in sport.
So, to promote Sports is the need of the hour in the State like Manipur where every caste, creed and community of the state can peacefully co-exist together without any discrimination.
